M.Sc. Planetary Health

The M.Sc. “Planetary Health” study program is offered by the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional and Engineering Sciences (lead department) in collaboration with the Department of Geography in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences as well as the Faculty of Medicine. On this page, you will find information about the modules offered by the Department of Geography.

Special Features of the Geography Modules

Unlike in the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional, and Engineering Sciences, the module titles in Geography do not correspond exactly to the seminar titles offered for the respective modules. In Geography, module names are always so-called “module shells,” within which different content is offered based on the relevant topic. As a result, the course offerings change from semester to semester. For example, the module “Research Methods in Physical Geography I and II” includes courses such as “Laboratory Methods in Vegetation Ecology,” “Applied Methods in Remote Sensing,” and “Scenario Analyses.”

Below is a list of modules offered by the Department of Geography in the Winter Semester 2026/27 that are open to Planetary Health students. The course descriptions are available on BASIS.
