RG Schrott participated in EGU 2026 in Vienna, presenting research on landslide monitoring, flood-related large wood transport and semi-automatic landslide mapping.

A field campaign in Obergoms, Switzerland, combined geophysical methods and sediment sampling to investigate the formation and geomorphological significance of outsize fans in the Upper Rhone Valley.

Researchers from RG Schrott attended the 11th International Conference on Geomorphology (ICG) in Christchurch, New Zealand, to present our current research.

On 20 November, the final EUMA project meeting took place at the University of Vienna, with Uni Bonn represented by Lothar Schrott and Rainer Bell. The consortium reflected on achievements across the five Work Packages and discussed the long-term impact of EUMA, including the forthcoming Springer Nature book series “Disaster Management, Civil Protection, and Resilience.” What's next?
