RG Schrott at EGU 2026 in Vienna
RG Schrott participated in EGU 2026 in Vienna, presenting research on landslide monitoring, flood-related large wood transport and semi-automatic landslide mapping.
Fieldwork in Switzerland, March 2026
A field campaign in Obergoms, Switzerland, combined geophysical methods and sediment sampling to investigate the formation and geomorphological significance of outsize fans in the Upper Rhone Valley.

EUMA Final Project Meeting in Vienna
On 20 November, the final EUMA project meeting took place at the University of Vienna, with Uni Bonn represented by Lothar Schrott and Rainer Bell. The consortium reflected on achievements across the five Work Packages and discussed the long-term impact of EUMA, including the forthcoming Springer Nature book series “Disaster Management, Civil Protection, and Resilience.”
