Lisa Di Giulio
PhD Student
Lisa Di Giulio is a PhD researcher in the Development Geography Research Group at the Department of Geography, University of Bonn. She joined the group in April 2026 as part of project C03 "Green Futures" within the Collaborative Research Center TRR 228 Future Rural Africa, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Her research focuses on waterscapes transformation in East Africa through a political ecology approach.
Personal Information
Before joining the University of Bonn, Lisa worked as a Junior Advisor for the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies, where she contributed to research, workshop facilitation, and advisory projects on sustainability and futures thinking. She previously worked in research and project management in relation to rural development and environmental conflicts in Ecuador.
