Summer School

This one-week summer school is designed for Master’s and PhD students and Postdocs interested in understanding catchment hydrological processes, with a particular focus on Latin America. The course combines lectures, practical exercises, and fieldwork to explore key topics such as runoff generation, isotope hydrology, and modeling approaches across multiple scales. In addition to process-oriented insights, the course addresses challenges related to low flows and floods. A field trip to the Peri Lake Experimental Catchment provides hands-on experience with real-world data collection. The program concludes with a discussion on how hydrological understanding can inform water resources management in diverse Latin American contexts, in collaboration with partners across sectors.
