The University of Southampton is a public university located in the city of Southampton on the south coast of England. It is a leading research university in England and is regularly ranked among the world’s top 100 universities. With approximately 21,000 students, about 35 percent of whom come from abroad, it is one of the largest universities on the south coast of England.

All exchange students attending for a single semester must submit an English language certificate, completed by the nominators at their home institution. The form will be sent together with this information sheet. For all other students (those attending for the full academic year), the standard entry requirements apply, and an official English language certificate must be submitted. UoS Band C = Minimum IELTS overall score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each component.
