Starting your studies
For those of you just starting out, we have put together everything you need to know about embarking on your studies on this page. This includes registration, the orientation week and more details of events for first-semester students.

We extend a warm welcome to our first-semester students at the Department of Geography in October and put on an information event, which is often subdivided by degree program. The programs for the german degree programs are available on here.
Here you find an overview of the planned events of the Georisk Master:
The following orientation events will be offered to the first semester students of the joint master’s programme in Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security:

- „Intro Week“ from 10 - 14 October 2022. The Intro Week will include the introduction of both institutes, their lecturers, as well as a comprehensive social and intercultural programme.
- The orientation programme ("Welcome Days") for international students offered by the International Office can be found here.
