The University of Fribourg (French: Université de Fribourg), located in Fribourg (German: Freiburg im Üechtland), is the sixth-largest and the only bilingual university in Switzerland. Situated at the cultural crossroads between the German- and French-speaking regions, it offers a unique academic environment. Around 10,000 students and more than 200 professors from over 100 countries study, teach, and conduct research at the university. Most degree programmes are offered in both German and French, making the university an attractive choice for students from across Switzerland and around the world.
