Royal Holloway, University of London, has three faculties — Arts & Social Sciences, Management & Economics, and Science — with around 9,000 students from over 100 countries. The college was founded in 1879 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Thomas Holloway (1800–1883) and became part of the University of London in 1900. The institution is located in Egham, about 30 kilometers from London.
