Université d’Abomey-Calavi

The University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) is one of the most important higher education institutions in Benin and is located in Abomey-Calavi in the Cotonou metropolitan area. It currently has around 67,000 students, 28 faculties and training units (UFR), nine doctoral schools and 64 research laboratories. The university offers more than 400 study programmes at Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral level.

  • Accommodation: UAC provides university student residences. According to the university, approximately 1,482 places are available in student residences on the Abomey-Calavi campus. Private apartments and rooms are also available in the immediate vicinity of the campus, particularly in the so-called Village Universitaire. The university points out that the number of places in student residences is limited. Many students therefore live in or share private accommodation outside the campus.
