Equipment pool

The equipment pool offers a wide range of field and measuring equipment for geographical work. Besides equipment for climatology, hydrology, vegetation geography, geomorphology and soil science, this also includes devices for human geography work such as dictaphones. The inventory (only in german) provides an overview of all the available equipment.

Students and staff at the Department of Geography can borrow equipment for field practicals, tutorials, theses (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral) and research work. Please also observe our user regulations (340 KB; only in german).

Borrowing equipment

Equipment may only be borrowed during our opening hours and must be reserved in advance. Reservations are to be made either by e-mail or phone at least five days before you wish to borrow the equipment. All reservations must include the following:

Last name and first name
Type and number of pieces of equipment to be borrowed
Address, phone number and email address
Collection and return date
Student ID number

Returning equipment

Equipment is to be returned during our opening hours or by appointment (made over the phone). It must be handed back in a clean and fault-free condition. If it is damaged, the borrower shall be required to cover any repair costs.
