Biography
Marlene Hobbs is a research associate in the Social Geography WG since July 2022 and a PhD candidate in the DFG project "'Smart' Living for the Aging Society - Between Care, Control, and Networked Self-Empowerment." Previously, she was a research associate in the AG Social Geography at the University of Jena, teaching Geographic Housing and Infrastructure Studies and Postcolonial Geographies.

2020-2022: Research assistant in the Social Geography Group, University of Jena, Germany
2017-2020: M.Sc. Geography at the University of Bonn with focus on governance and space
2012-2016: B. Sc. Geography at the University of Bonn with tutoring in the writing lab Uni Bonn (2017-2020) and internship abroad in Balgüe, Nicaragua (2014-2015)
