Maynooth University
Maynooth University (MU) is Ireland’s youngest university. It was restructured under the Universities Act of 1997, separating from St Patrick’s College Maynooth, which had been founded in 1795. The university has two campuses — one historic, shared with St Patrick’s College, and one modern. Together, they host more than 12,000 students (2016/17), including about 1,700 international students representing 95 countries.
