University of Tartu

The University of Tartu (Estonian: Tartu Ülikool; historically known as Dorpat in Swedish and German) is the oldest university in Estonia and the country’s only comprehensive university. It was founded in 1632 by King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden under the name Academia Gustaviana.
Today, the university has approximately 15,000 students, including around 2,000 international students.
