Université Lille 1
The Université Lille 1 is now a campus-based university spread across six locations. Its origins trace back to the Université de Douai, founded by Philip II of Spain. In total, more than 100,000 students attend the University of Lille in northern France. Université Lille 1 – Sciences and Technologies is one of the university’s campuses in Lille, with over 20,000 students, more than 20 percent of whom are international.
