Urban and Regional Geography
Starting in the winter semester 2025/26, the professorship for Urban and Regional Research at the Department of Geography at the University of Bonn will be substituted by Dr. Juliane Dame. Her work focuses on issues of environmental governance and sustainability transformation. In her teaching, Juliane Dame will offer modules in both the Master’s and Bachelor’s programs.

Research
In her research, Dr. Juliane Dame addresses current issues of environmental governance and sustainability transformation. Her work focuses on resource conflicts and water governance, land-use change and urbanization, as well as questions related to the geographies of food and climate adaptation.
In applied evaluation and teaching–research projects, Juliane Dame works on challenges of sustainability transformation, with particular attention to civil society initiatives and participation in municipal planning. She has a strong interest in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration.
