Queen’s University Belfast (Irish: Ollscoil na Banríona, Béal Feirste) was founded as Queen’s College, Belfast, and its roots date back to 1810. Overall, the university has a strong technical profile. In parallel, St Mary’s College trains future teachers. Across its three faculties — the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences; and the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences — around 25,000 students are enrolled.
