Research group Geography Education

The geography education team is primarily interested in research about teaching and learning Geography in German Gymnasium. This goes hand in hand with focussing on the improvement of a teacher’s education at the Department of Geography. Geography education in this context means an interdisciplinary approach to research as we deal with specifically geographic and general pedagogical topics.

It is our goal to teach basic educational aspects in order for future Geography teachers to theoretically plan, implement and evaluate their Geography lessons.
