Elisabeth Kirndörfer received her PhD in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the European University Viadrina on the biographical negotiations of the East German transition generation and her Master's degree in Sociocultural Studies.Her research interests focus on critical migration studies, feminist theory, and ethnographic methods.
During her studies, she was involved in various projects of CLAE, a platform for migration-society organizations in Luxembourg, and worked as an academic assistant in the Department of Social Work at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam between 2010 and 2012.
After working in the DFG-funded research project "Postmigrant City" at the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography in Leipzig, she is currently working in the HERA-funded research project on the "Everyday Experiences of Young Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Public Space" at the Chair of Cultural Geography (Prof. Dr. Kathrin Hörschelmann) at the University of Bonn
