In this lecture, Dr. Christopher Schulz discusses the World Commission on Dams (1998-2000) and the future of large dams. Christopher Schulz is an interdisciplinary researcher with interests in environment and development, environmental values, and water governance. He is Lecturer on Sustainable Development at the School of Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews, UK. Here, he talks about a policy response to ghost projects, the origins and formation of the World Commission on Dams, the impact of this commission and the lessons learned from this initiative.
