Dr. Jonathan Davies, former coordinator of the Global Drylands Initiative and the Global Agriculture Programme Lead at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) gives an overview on the state of the world’s drylands, their unique characteristics, their challenges and potential for holistic ecological restoration for the benefit of biodiversity, local community and planetary health. In his work, he is concerned with sustainable land management, rangeland restoration, sustainable pastoralism, and sustainable agriculture and conservation.
