In this lecture, Prof. Magnus Treiber talks about the German Study Syndicate for Abyssinia and its failed attempt to monopolize the development of Ethiopia (1925-1938). He explores about power asymmetries and how the various actors learned from each other. Magnus Treiber is a professor at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. His research focuses on ethnological migration research, urban ethnology, ethnology and social work, ethnological theory and method, and existential ethnology.
