Prof. Eric Higgs from the University of Victoria, Canada, talks about changes in ecosystem restoration. In his view, restoration seemed simpler in 2003, which he marks as the end of the "classical restoration". The focus got more on species extinction and the interception of ecological systems, and Prof. Higgs began to see more ecosystems that became unrestorable. He then talks about people around the globe who tried to find new ways and guidelines to ecosystem restoration.
