The future lies in Africa! This is the thesis of this talk by Prof. Detlef Müller-Mahn from the University of Bonn, Juliet Wanjiku, Ananou Gabin, Vincent Moseti and Lisa Biber-Freudenberger. They will take you on a ride through the future-making of Africa from different perspectives. First, Prof. Müller-Mahn starts with the uncertainties and future-making in the African context, followed by a short video with quotes. Juliet Wanjiku then talks about the science policy practice context, followed by a discussion. Afterwards, Ananou Gabin shows capacity building as a part of the sustainable development. Finally, Vincent Moseti asks what the future expectations in terms of scientific careers are and Lisa Biber-Freudenberger focuses the future under a scenario of a just socio-ecological transformation.
