On the 12th of January 2022, the project milestones of the 1st half (18th Month) was presented by the consortium to the project funder BMBF represented by VDI. The outcome of the discussion was fruitful with positive impressions about the achievement of the milestones on data collection, hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling, the FD-CRISys tool for critical infrastructure, Floodlabel, the GAPS-FDSS web-based decision support tool, stakeholders engagement and the governance and policy aspects. Overall, all the consortium partners were able to meet the milestones targets, however, the consortium partners were challenged with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused some delays in the full realization of the milestones.
The next steps on the list of the project activities include a planned stakeholder workshop and fieldwork activities in Ghana in Summer 2022. The workshop is aiming to work with stakeholders on scenario development, critical infrastructure validation, Floodlabel and the decision support user requirements.
