SpongeBoost project brings together 10 partners from 7 European countries to strengthen natural water retention and restore the “sponge function” of landscapes. By combining research, policy, and practical management expertise, the project develops innovative solutions to enhance resilience against droughts and floods. Through knowledge exchange, restoration practices, and evidence-based policy recommendations, SpongeBoost is paving the way for sustainable land and water management across Europe. In March Prof Evers attended the annual project meeting on the Azores as advirory board member.
