Climatology and Landscape Ecology
Main Research Areas
The focus of our research lies on topics of climatology, landscape ecology and biogeography. We focus on the examination, understanding and modelling of the spatio-temporal patterns of ecosystems. Special emphasis is put on changes in ecosystem processes and human-environmental interactions within the framework of global change. The exploration covers a broad range of ecosystems while particular attention is given to the comparative high mountain research established by Carl Troll.
