Map Collection

The map collection is located in the basement in the rooms 010/011 and has the same opening hours as the Equipment Collection.
The inventory list of the map collection is digitised and can be found here (only in german language). The map catalogue will be integrated in the library catalogue successively, so that it is also accessible through bonnus.

Map catalogue

The map catalogue can be found here. Gradually, searching is also possible in bonnus.
The map collection contains ca. 115,000 maps including map series, individual maps and wall maps. The collection comprises all official topographic map series of Germany, e.g. the TK25 and the IMP. The DGK is available for subareas such as the region Bonn/Cologne. For particular regions (e.g. the Rhineland) there are special maps such as thematic maps on hand. These thematic maps include among others an extensive collection of geological maps with corresponding explanatory notes (especially for the area of the FRG).
