Map Collection

The map collection is located in the basement rooms 010/011 and has the same opening hours as the equipment collection.
The inventory list of the map collection is digitised and can be found here (only in German). The map catalog will successively be integrated in the library catalogue so that it can also be accessed via bonnus.

Map catalog

The map catalog can be found here. Gradually, searching will also be possible via bonnus.
The map collection contains approx. 115,000 maps, including map series and  individual maps. The collection comprises all official topographic map series of Germany, e.g. the TK25 and the IMP. The DGK is available for subareas such as the Bonn/Cologne region. For particular regions (e.g. the Rhineland), special maps (e.g. thematic maps) are available. These thematic maps include an extensive collection of geological maps with corresponding explanatory notes (especially for the area of the FRG), among others.
