DESCRIPTION:Dr Elisabeth Kirndörfer from the RG Cultural Geography and Do
 uwe van Schie from the RG Development Geography presented their papers in 
 the Human Geography category. In physical geography\, Dr Adrian Almoradie 
 from the RG Ecohydrology and Water Resources Management and Ikram Zangana 
 from the RG Geomorphology and Environmental Systems were honoured.\n\nAt t
 he subsequent Science Pitch\, all GIUB doctoral students and postdocs are 
 invited to present their current research work. It does not matter what st
 age the work is at - whether it is an ongoing project\, initial results or
  final results - as long as the presentation is short and concise. The aim
  is to provide an overview of the spectrum of current research in a very c
 ompact form and to encourage networking. The presentations (3 minutes) can
  be given in German or English.\n\nAfter the award ceremony and the pitche
 s there will be a reception with lunch snacks (Roter Saal).
