The student council is an active part of the Department of Geography and represents student's needs and interests. It is run by students for students and is concerned with several questions of the department's internal policy. At the same time, the council is responsible for the yearly fresher's programme and tries to make new students' transition to university life as easy as possible. Offers such as lecture nights, the coffee shop located in the basement of the department or the legendary geo-parties are just a few examples of what the student council does to ensure that student's everyday life at the department is enjoyable.
The student council is open to everyone. Whether you want to get involved or just want to get an impression of what we do, come by and check us out! It doesn't matter how much time you have to invest, we are thankful for any help we can get.
If you would like more information or are interested in what we do, visit us at an upcoming meeting or during our office hours!
