 w catchments react to extreme hydrometeorological events\, such as drought
 s and floods\, is a fundamental step towards a more detailed analysis of w
 ater mixing\, storage\, and release processes. In this presentation\, Prof
 . Daniele Penna will show hydrometeorological data collected in the 2 km²
  Re della Pietra experimental catchment\, Apennine mountain range\, Tuscan
 y\, Central Italy. The results focus on the identification of the hydromet
 eorological controls on the occurrence of dry periods and  major floods oc
 curred during the monitoring period\, aiming to highlight the catchment re
 covery time from dry to wet conditions\, and viceversa. \nThe outcomes of 
 this study shed new light on the interrelations of different factors to dr
 ive the ecohydrological response of Mediterranean catchment under extremel
 y different meteorological conditions.
