Research
Research focuses on topics of climatology, landscape ecology and biogeography. Central questions are the examination, understanding and modelling of spatio-temporal patterns within ecosystems. Special emphasis is laid on changes in ecosystem processes as well as man-biosphere interactions within the frame of global change. The investigations cover a broad range of systems in which great importance is attached to the comparative high mountain research established by Carl Troll.
